Fiona Govan was a club member and keen nature photographer, who sadly, died in 2015.
This competition, in her memory, does not follow rigid nature / wildlife photography rules and is judged by club members as a whole, with no external judge.
The rules will probably change with time, but for now, any “natural history” subject is allowed- wildlife or landscape. Cropping and sharpening are fine. Other post editing is allowed within reason, but no pasted lions on the East Lothian savannah, please.
Last year’s judging called for advanced mathematical skills on the part of two committee members and will be greatly simplified this year, probably to a “one person, one vote” system.
