Once you have a photograph , what do you do with it?
Post it online? Lose it on a hard drive? These days, getting the image is only the first stage of the fun. Post processing is the second. Some folk say they never process their pictures- but the fact is that if you take JPEGs, your image will be heavily processed before it leaves the camera, by the algorithms the camera manufacturer hard wired into it. And for many images, that will give good results.
Tonight we will look at some ways to use post processing software to achieve different results. If you don’t ever want to edit an image, that’s fine- but it never hurts to know a bit about it.
This is a big subject and we will barely stick a toe in the water in one night. If there is sufficient interest, more can be done along these lines.
