Hi all…. before I talk about this week’s meeting, a reminder that next week’s meeting (24th Feb 2026) is on zoom – it’s Peter Wells judging the Annual Competition. Good luck ! 
And while we’re looking ahead, don’t forget this year’s Exhibition in St Mary’s will be earlier than usual, so start thinking about your entries. And, separately, it’s not long till the deadline for the AV competition so get working on your short movie – deadline 1st March.

So, this week’s meeting was an ‘In Conversation with…’ and Jane, Karen, Maria and Rudolf were kind enough to share images (Karen’s ‘Joy’ is this week’s featured image, a scene from Paris) and good chat. We heard about Galapagos, Italy, East Lothian, London, Valencia, Yorkshire, Cairngorms, Machu Pichu, Venice, Rome, South Africa, Brazil, and London – a well travelled focus of photographers. We heard stories of hitchhiking across continents, Beetles to Morocco, Carnival in Venice, stalking Hares, and Puma and Lions and night time Elephants, of carefully crafting B&W images for print, families and heirlooms and memories, of architectural details, aurora, and Etna in full eruption. Thank you to the chatters for sharing so much.
