David Youles

I am David Youles and this is my first season as a member of the club. My enthusiasm for photography began a couple of years ago with retirement. Frankly if I can take  a sharp, in focus picture it’s a miracle!  I have an attention span measured in nano seconds so the act of composing a photograph is, to me,  one of the most peaceful of undertakings. No distractions, just being in the moment. It’s a rare state of mind and one that I cherish. 
 
I’m happiest taking macro pictures of flowers and architectural details. You will see that a lot of my pictures are monotone.  
 

The club has helped me to understand some of the hallmarks of a  good photograph  and I relish all  feedback. As Oscar Wilde said “Your best friends stab you in the front!”
